An Angie's List for the Other Side

If you've ever needed some help finding a good contractor for a home improvement project, you may have discovered Angie's List. A paid service, Angie's List provides reviews by consumers of professionals and businesses of all types.

Well, there are a lot of contractors out there who aren't too fond of Angie's List. I'm sure there are many fine contractors who have been burned by poor reviews that had less to do with the work they did than with ridiculous expectations of the homeowners who hired them. And now they have a place to fight back. Business Beware, also a paid service, is for contractors who want to review their customers. Specifically, it is a forum for tradespeople to warn others about customers who stiffed them on the bill or caused other unreasonable headaches.

I don't know how successful Business Beware is likely to become, but it is worth noting that consistently bad customers could find themselves one day being unable to hire a decent contractor due to a history of bad reviews. Not that any of my readers would merit a bad review, right?
